Following the film's overwhelming response from the audience throughout India and abroad, it is planned to remake the film in Hindi, starring Akshay kumar. Akshay has a strong belief that if the film is produced in Hindi, for he knows that his Hindi film Rowdy Rathore directed by Prabhu Deva was a box-office- hit. The film was the remake of the Telugu version 'Vikramarkudu'. The same film was remade in Tamil as 'Siruthai' with Karthi and Tamannah.
