Aishwarya Dhanush debuting into Tamil cinema as director. Mrs. Dhanush has worked for Selvaraghavan as his assistant. She is even believed to have penned the script for this upcoming film which will see hubby and National Award winner Dhanush in the lead. While there have been a lot of talks regarding whom the couple will choose as Dhanush's heroine, there were reports that Shruthi Haasan might bag the offer. But as reported Shruthi Haasan has shunned the project due to lack of dates for the film, she has more than a couple of projects in the pipeline in Telugu. Now reports are rife that the latest sensation in Tamil cinema, Amala Paul, might be roped in for the heroine's slot in this Aishwarya Dhanush film!

Though nothing is confirmed, Amala Paul did express to a media house that she was approached for this film but she can't reveal anything further on this front. Amala Paul, who has made a good show at the box-office with 'Mynaa' first and recently with 'Deiva Thirumagal' seems to be drowned in good offers. This Aishwarya Dhanush project is in the pre-production stages. The couple might soon decide on a tentative date to reveal more about their upcoming film to the media, we hope. Meanwhile, Dhanush whose 'Venghai' is receiving lukewarm response from the public and Dhanush is shooting for brother Selvaraghavan's 'Irandam Ulagam' with Richa Gangopadhyay as the female lead.

NAYANTHARA REFUSES TO CONVERT TO HINDUISM

Actress and Prabhu Deva’s lover Nayanthara has mentioned that she cannot get converted for the sake of Prabhu Deva who is now busy in making arrangements for the marriage thinks that Nayanthara’s decision will not be a hindrance to the marriage. Prabhu Deva feels that he can manage it. Prabhu Deva has fulfilled the Court’s conditions and settled his ex wife Ramlath. Now that the Family Court has granted divorce, Prabhu Deva’s marriage with Nayanthara will be taking soon.
At this point of time Prabhu Deva’s family members are insisting that the Christian girl Nayanthara should get converted to Hinduism, But Nayanthara said that will she not get converted. Prabhu Deva in order to overcome this situation has decided to exchange rings as per Christian customs and also tie the nuptial knot according to the Hindu customs. Nayanthara has agreed for this.

PRABHU-RAMLATH DIVORCE WAS GRANTED

Prabhu Deva and his wife Ramlath divorce was sanctioned in The Family Court in Chennai. With this, Prabhu plans to marry Nayantara is going to come true. Prabhu has already started giving the alimony he promised to his wife Ramlath and as a first step, he recently paid her Rs. 10 lakhs. A farmhouse and a 22 cent property in ECR have also been transferred to Ramlath and their two sons Rishi and Aditya. Besides a property in Hyderabad, a flat in Anna Nagar will also be transferred to Ramlath’s name.
Earlier, Prabhu Deva and Ramlath filed a petition submitting that all efforts taken by mediators and elders in their families failed to find a solution and they agreed for divorce by mutual consent. Ramlath also withdrew her earlier petitions pending before the court. Prabhu Deva and Ramlath were married on September 8, 1995 and had three sons. One of their sons passed away due to cancer.

Actor Karthi is the younger brother of actor Surya. Karthi got married to Ranjani who is the daughter of the couple Chinnasami- Jyothi Meenakshi. Tamil actor Karthik Shivakumar, better known as Karthi, is not one among the most eligible bachelors in the Tamil film industry anymore. He’s all set to tie the knot with Ranjani on July 3.

Karthi sounds very excited and confesses that he can’t wait to get married. “It’s hard to find someone who thinks on your wavelength and of course someone who gels well with you. I’ve found that in Ranjani,” he tells Metrolife. Karthi is busy wrapping up the shooting of his latest film Saguni, a film about political satire, where he plays a young guy from the village who juggles various roles in life. “He doesn’t stick to a particular career. This young man is smart but innocent and is capable of getting everything done in a jiffy. It’s an entertainer,” he says and adds, “My character gives scope for a lot of performance without crossing the limits of reality.”Still basking in the success of Siruthai where he played a double role that of Rocket Raja, the pickpocket and Rathnavel Pandian, a fearless cop, Karthi says, “People call me Rocket Raja and the image of a pickpocket still looms large.” He says he was offered a lot of cop roles after Siruthai. “I think the physique did the trick. But I don’t want to play a cop too soon and would like to take up other serious roles,” he says. But Surya, his older brother, is the real cop material. “Surya never restricts himself. He pushes his own boundaries and never tires of exploring the actor in him. I am choosy when it comes to my characters. I have to like a script to act in it,” reasons Karthi, who has become popular for his quick sense of humour.But after his marriage will he get more choosy with his roles? “I don’t think marriage will change much. But I think when you’re a bachelor, taking risks doesn’t matter much but after marriage, I think I would be taking less risks. More than change, marriage will make me a bit more responsible.
