PARTHIBAN IN TOLLYWOOD

Parthiban is now acting in a Telugu movie titled 'Aappu' and has signed now to do his first ever Telugu movie.

Telugu director Sampath Nandhi is directing a movie having Chiranjeevi's son Ramcharan Teja in the lead role. Tamanna is doing opposite. Parthiban is taking up the role of Ramcharan's father.
This is the first time; Parthiban is acting in a Telugu movie and at the same time taking up a smaller role as the father of the Hero of the film.
While commenting about his roll, Parthiban said "Though the role is small, the importance for it is very high".

VETERAN ACTRESS S.N. LAKSHMI PASSES AWAY

S.N. Lakshmi who has acted in more than 1500 films, and had acted with actors like MGR, Sivaji and also 4th generation actors like Simbhu - Vishal, passed away on 19.02.2012 mid night.

She was 85 years old. Thorughout her life, she lead an un-married life. She was a sincere devotee of Sri Sathya Sai Baba , and had been doing social service work in Sai Kripa, a Sunday weekly hospital, purely run by Sri Sathya Sai Baba devotees including Sevadals in Raja Annamalaipuram, Chennai.
The late actress had appeared in several small-screen soaps, besides her career in acting in films.
Her body was taken to her residence Saligramam, Chennai and the final rites was performed at her native village near Virudhunagar.
Several Kollywoodians visited her house and paid last respects to her.
