At the request of Vijay Sethupathy, a building which was built for the shooting of Labam, the producers donated it to villagers living closeby the Kundrathur village.
The film story revolves around the problems of farmers in the field of agriculture, and sometimes it turn out to be international issue. Suicides of farmers have often been the net result of most of the problems. For the purpose of the shooting the producer instead of making sets, had constructed an auditorium building and after the film shooting was over, they did not like to destroy the building and on hearing from the film hero Vijay Sethupathy, it was donated to the villagers for their use.
According to the production office, the building could be converted as a community hall, after obtaining plan persmission from the concerned panchayat or could be given to a family who could not afford to buy a house.

Nithya Menon acts in Iron Lady

By N.Thyagarajan

Late Madam Jayalalithaa, also fondly called as Amma,   who during her regime as the Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu for over five times, had made the State popular, not because of her visionary alone, but by bringing in various welfare plans to the people and set an example to other states in India.
Her cradle-children plan had won the hearts of many. Mother Teresa who visited her personally congratulated her for bringing the plan. Similarly, she announced various welfare plans for the people of Tamil Nadu particularly for women living rural villages, to stand up on their legs to make their income a supplement to several families' income. She also announced distribution of free gold for making mangal-sutras to women who are from poor families. She also announced marriage assistance to women.
Renowned Film Producer Priyadarshini who wanted to highlight the achievements of the late Chief Minister Jayalalithaa decided to produce a film in three vernaculars, namely English, Malayalam and Kannada.
The producer has included important anecdotes from the life history of Jayalalithaa and how the people welcomed it whenever, she announced the new welfare plans for the people of Tamil Nadu. Soon she became Chief Minister, she took all legal steps in gazetting the Cauvery Tribunal Order. This she had promised during her election campaigns held for the TN Assembly and fulfilled it, after waging a legal battle and finally won.
Priyadarshini who was in search for an actress who could do the role of Jayalalithaa, finally, chose actress Nithya Menon, though she has been busy with the shoot of various film schedules.
Though she was little bit hesitant to accept the role, as she was afraid that she could not finish Priyadarshini's schedules, the producer chose her to do the role, as she has been confident that the film will come up well after the completion.

Discussions on to film Sri Devi life history: Vidya Balan to have the meaty role

 N.THYAGARAJAN

CHENNAI, MAR 28:

Still most of the fans of Sri Devi are in shock, over her sudden demise, and never could come out of it. Frankly, speaking her passing away has created a vacuum in the film world.

Now, some producers are planning to film, the real history of the late actress, who had won laurels through her career in acting. Mother of two girl children, Sri Devi, had found a highest-pedestal in film world, as well she had won the hearts of many of her fans with her impeccable performance.

The actress who began her acting  as a child artiste, appeared in Tamil myth Films as Lord Muruga. She as a child-artiste had appeared with leading Tamil film heroes like MGR and Sivaji Ganesan and other leading actors of yesteryears.

Like sky has no limit, the fame has also no end, the actress had achieved this. The actress's acting could be compared to none in the film industry, nor there was any parallel to it.

Hence, some Bollywood film producers are thinking to produce a film with the real story centered around the late actress Sri Devi's life. According to sources, actress Vidya Balan might be doing the role of Sri Devi in the proposed film. The sources further disclosed that the story discussions were going to start the production of the film, as early as possible.
The late actress had bewitched the heart of many with her acting performance and was helped by her thin voice. In films if she was shown in angry mood, she had never raised her voice but showed her anger through facial expressions. Even audience in theaters would at times faced with anger, when she (Sri Devi in films) did not not retaliate villains. When she was forcibly taken by villains, she would beat them using both her hands, but there would not be sound from her beatings. I am told that in real life the actress Sri Devi had maintained good relationships with her family and friends.
If the producer highlight the point of the actress' calmness and serenity in the proposed new film on Sri Devi people would welcome it, many say. The fans also expect that there should not be an iota of change in the story-line.
One could without second thought could say, that the actress during her career in acting had never indulged in any controversies. Give any role to her, one could watch her exceptional acting in that, said a fan.
The late actress without any pretension had always maintained her 'smile' till her end and had never hurt anyone, and this was the reason for her success in films and earned lakhs of fans, besides she was always showed her sincerity and did all her roles well.

PRICE TAG OF AJITH'S VIVEGAM EXPECTED TO BE MORE THAN VEDHALAM

Thala Ajith's next upcoming movie Vivegam is expected to be released in August this year provided the shooting is over by the month of April. Rumours are already floating around saying that Vivegam is going to be sold for 50 crores, 10 crores more than the film 'Vedalam' which was released almost a year back.
The underlying truth is that the Director of the Vedhalam film did not get enough profit out of it even when the people who bought and screened the film exclaimed that they got enough out of it. Even the director of that film after a gap of more than a year is back and is currently busy with Vijay Sethupathy's "Karuppan".
He too expects that Vivegam should be a big box office hit and the profit and credit which everyone gets should go to all who worked for it.
